The CP-Series is a fitted, lower-profile silhouette for a locked-in race feel. The R-Series covers the same race-day territory but also includes our City Editions, caps tied to a specific places like Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast.

City Editions are R-Series caps produced around a specific location, carrying that city's name. They run on the same build as the standard R-Series, so you're not trading away performance for the design.

It's worth doing at least one hard session in it beforehand. A fitted cap feels different to a relaxed everyday cap, and race day isn't the time to discover the fit isn't right for you.

There's a small trade-off. Race caps use thinner, more ventilated fabric than an everyday cap, and UPF coverage sits on the crown rather than the brim on any Fractel cap. For a one-off race effort that's a fair swap for the weight and airflow you get back.

It adds up more than you'd think. A heavier cap that felt fine at the start can feel noticeably heavier by the final few kilometres, especially once sweat soaks in. That's exactly why race caps trim weight and bulk compared with an everyday cap.
